SF Detection carbon monoxide detectors were the only ones currently available in the UK to pass the recently published Health & Safety Executive (HSE) tests.

In an extensive 2-year testing programme that was jointly funded by the HSE, British Gas plc and the DTI, around 30 different types of CO detectors were tested including all the main units currently available in the UK.

The rigorous laboratory and field testing included performance and reliability checks as well as long-term stability tests to ensure that products continue to provide optimum protection over a longer period of time.

There have been a number of concerns, in recent times, about the reliability of domestic CO detectors and these were justified by the fact that all the other units on test failed in one way or another. The SF Detection units, however, passed all the tests, which further enhances SF Detection’s claim to provide the best CO detectors on the market.
