MARKET LEADERS JOIN FORCES TO PROVIDE WORLD FIRST

SF Detection and Tunstall create an exclusive partnership in the telecare technology market, developing a brand new CO alarm.

SF Detection, the UK’s No.1 manufacturer of domestic gas and carbon monoxide (CO) alarms has joined forces with Tunstall, Europe’s leading provider of personal and home reassurance solutions, creating an exclusive partnership in the telecare technology market.

The result of this collaboration is the world’s first CO alarm to raise an alert by sending a radio signal to a central Lifeline home unit, without the need for wiring, enabling alarm calls to be received by 24 hour community alarm response centres. This exciting new alarm is based on the standard SF350 CO alarm, the best selling unit in the UK. The alarm is officially approved and kitemarked to the latest European standard for domestic CO alarms, EN50291. It also incorporates the latest electro-chemical sensing technology as well as a number of other market leading features and benefits such as automatic sensor adjustment and a continuous self-test function to ensure complete accuracy and reliability.

The new alarm has been designed for use with Tunstall’s Lifeline 400 and 4000+ home units alongside the company’s range of SMART sensors. The Lifeline home units pick up the radio signal from the activated sensor and notifies either the housing scheme warden, nominated key holder, or dedicated 24hour response centre.
